Subject: Best Vince ever sounded
I never cared for Vince's keyboard playing, but her really sounds good on this recording. Lot's of energy from everyone. The recording is great, makes me feel like I'm in the front row.

Subject: NICE!
Great sounding AUD.
If you want to get out of the '68 to '74 era, this is a good place. Vince is hard to take at spots, but Phil is strong throughout!
Highlights: Brown Eyed Women, Dark Star, Tough of Grey. El Paso is weak, but the rest is solid to real good.

I was in HS, had no clue who the Dead was and they had been rockin for almost 30 years. Who knew that I would catch two shows before it was over and only after Jerry died did I gain full appreciation for the band that is the Grateful Dead!

Subject: Very cool FOB
The "Tapers from Hell" were a group of dudes that teamed up to record FOB, which was entirely necessary to protect the gear from security and rowdy heads. They did a really good job on this recording. 5 stars fo the recording quality. This is an inspired performance from the band.

I never really got used to Welnick, however, Bruce Hornsby is a bad-ass who really connected with Jerry. It was too bad Hornsby didn't stick around, since he provided inspiration to Jerry. I remember several shows that I attended where Jerry was very attentive to Hornsby...he kept watching and listening to his piano and making eye-contact with Hornsby.

Subject: Awesome 2nd set!
I never knew an AUD recording could sound this good! It sounds just like an SBD because this guy was standing a couple feet from the speaker.

The 2nd set rocks from Truckin' straight through to Touch of Grey (despite the track list, Space continues into Dark Star). A really awesome Drums segment; Throwing Stones is good fun with the audience.

Oh, the 1st set is no slouch either.

Subject: Thanks!
Great quality, seems to be a matrix...???

At any rate I bought this Road Trip release and while importing the music to my computer messed up the Dark Star (IK, huge mistake!). On top of that I lost the CD (typical). So this was awesome to be able to hear again, let alone download. Major thanks to the uploader!

Great show, killer truckin > china > rider
